Chapter 1: The Wonderful World of Science: The Wonderful World of Science chapter introduces how science is connected to our daily lives. Science is not only about doing experiments in the lab, but also about our daily uses, such as electricity, mobile phones, vehicles, medicines, etc. It also explains how scientists study nature through experiments.

Chapter 2: Diversity in the Living World: The Diversity in the Living World chapter familiarises us with living things. Our surroundings are full of living things. Some living things are big, such as trees and animals, while some are small like insects, birds, etc. 

 

They all look different but have some common things such as breathing, eating food, growing, and having babies.

Chapter 3: Mindful Eating: A Path to a Healthy Body: This chapter explains the importance of healthy food. We should always eat healthy food. Our body needs food for energy, growth, and good health. To improve your health, eat fresh and healthy food such as fruits, vegetables, and milk.

Chapter 4: Exploring Magnets : This chapter explains about magnets and their special powers. A magnet can attract things like iron, nails, and pins. Magnets have two ends, which either pull each other or push away.

 

In this chapter, we will also learn how we use magnets in our daily life (compass, fridge doors, toys), and how to take care of them.  

 

Chapter 5: Measurement of Length and Motion: This chapter explains how to measure length and understand the motion concept. In the past, people used body parts like hands, feet, or arms to measure length, but their results were not accurate. Today we use standard units like metres and centimetres for accurate measurement.

 

Chapter 6: Materials Around Us: The Materials Around Us chapter explains the different types of materials we see around us and use in our daily lives. 

 

There are many kinds of things around us that are made of wood, metal, plastic, glass, cloth, paper, and many other materials. Each material has its own specialties, like hardness, softness, roughness, or smoothness.

 

Chapter 7: Temperature and Its Measurement: Temperature and Its Measurement explains how to measure temperature. To measure temperature, we use a thermometer that gives accurate results. 

This chapter also explains different kinds of thermometers, like the clinical thermometer and laboratory thermometer. With the help of this chapter, you will learn how to check the thermometer.  

Chapter 8: A Journey through States of Water: This chapter explains that water can be ice, liquid water, or vapor. It also explains how water changes its form and why the water cycle is important for life.

 

Chapter 9: Methods of Separation in Everyday Life : This chapter explains how we can separate substances from a mixture by using easy & simple methods like filtration and evaporation.

 

Chapter 10: Living Creatures: Exploring : This chapter helps to understand living things and their qualities such as growing, reproducing, moving, and reacting to changes. It also shows how plants and animals are different and live in different places.

 

Chapter 11: Nature Treasures their Characteristics : In this chapter, we learn about natural resources such as air, water, soil, and minerals. It explains why they are important and how we should use and save them carefully to protect our environment. 

Chapter 12: Beyond Earth: In this chapter, we will learn about universes such as stars, planets, moons, and galaxies. It also explains the solar system and how telescopes help us explore space.
